3-SCALE은 하나의 대형 디스플레이를 하나의 거리에서만 보는 것이 아니라,

서로 다른 세 가지 거리에서 각각 다른 경험을 하도록 설계하는 새로운 시각 개념이다.

보통의 대형 디스플레이는 멀리서 보았을 때 가장 잘 보이는 하나의 이미지를 만든다.

하지만 실제 공간에서는 사람마다 화면을 바라보는 거리가 다르다.

멀리서는 건물 전체를 바라보고,

가까이 다가가면 화면의 일부를 자세히 보고,

더 가까이에서는 이미지 속의 작은 디테일까지 볼 수 있다.

3-SCALE은 이 세 가지 상황을 처음부터 하나의 이미지 안에 함께 설계한다.

원경

에서는 전체 이미지가 하나의 강력한 장면으로 보이고,

근경

에서는 전체 이미지 안에 숨겨진 새로운 정보와 이야기가 나타나며,

마이크로

에서는 더 작은 디테일과 또 다른 시각적 경험이 발견된다.

즉, 같은 화면을 보지만

어디에서 바라보느냐에 따라 보이는 것이 달라진다.

하나의 이미지를 세 개의 서로 다른 이미지로 만드는 것이 아니다.

처음부터 하나의 이미지를 만들되,

그 안에 원경·근경·마이크로라는 세 가지 관람 경험을 동시에 설계하는 것이다.

멀리서 보아도 완성되고,

다가가도 새로운 것이 발견되며,

더 가까이 다가가도 또 다른 경험이 이어지는 디스플레이.

3-SCALE is a new visual concept for large-scale displays,

designed to create three different viewing experiences at three different distances.

Most large displays are designed primarily for one viewing distance:

the image is created to look best from far away.

But in real spaces, people experience a display from different distances.

From far away, they see the entire building or screen.

As they approach, they see more detail.

Up close, they can discover information that cannot be seen from a distance.

3-SCALE designs for all three experiences from the beginning.

At the FAR SCALE,

the entire image works as one powerful visual scene.

At the CLOSE SCALE,

new information and visual stories emerge within the larger image.

At the MICRO SCALE,

smaller details reveal another layer of the experience.

It is not three separate images.

It is ONE image,

designed with three viewing scales built into it from the start.

The image works from a distance.

It reveals something new as you approach.

And it continues to reveal more when you come closer.
